- Light snow and light rain slowly exits eastward through the Ohio Valley midweek.

- One to three inches of snow will fall in southern Ohio and northeast Kentucky.

- Gusty west winds will be on the increase across the Great Lakes, especially the northern half.

- Sunny skies will accompany a mild day across the north-central states.

- Lows will range from the single digits across the Plains to the 30s in Kentucky.

- With temperatures below average in the central Plains but above average across the Dakotas and Upper Midwest, highs will mainly be in the 30s, but low 40s in southern Kentucky and a few spots in western North Dakota and some 20s mixed in from Nebraska to Minnesota and Wisconsin.

- The next cold front begins to dip southward from out of Canada Thursday with the only precipitation in the form of light snow around Lake Superior.
